Watch: Kyrie Irving's alter ego Uncle Drew returns

Uncle Drew is back, and the character played by Cleveland Cavaliers star Kyrie Irving in the Pepsi commercials has a nemesis in chapter four: Walt, another old-timer, played by Ray Allen.

Uncle Drew, alter ego of Cavaliers star Kyrie Irving, is back in a new Pepsi commercial.

The commercial opens with Uncle Drew working out with his voice: "You're gonna take hits. The question is, how do you bounce back? How do you get stronger? Passion. Discipline. And fundamentals. Got that young bloods? Good. Now let's go to work."

The commercial then cuts to three old guys — Uncle Drew, Louis (played by former NBA star Baron Davis) and Angelo (played by actor JB Smoove) — playing dominoes and talking hoops. The makeup artists did wonderful work, and Irving, Davis and JB Smoove play their roles with confidence.

Drew finds out Walt is town, and they head to a local outdoor basketball court — the commercial was shot in Miami — for a showdown between Walt and Uncle Drew in a game of HORSE.

"Uncle Drew has been on ice for the last year and a half. I'm excited to bring him back," Irving said.

Davis, who grew up in the shadow of Hollywood, has been interested in the entertainment business for a long time.

"This is a great idea and a great opportunity for me," Davis said. "A friend called me with the opportunity and told me it was Uncle Drew. I said, 'Count me in.' "

Actor and comedian JB Smoove does this for living, but he was still thrilled to be on set with three guys who play or played in the NBA.

"They are amazing gentlemen," JB Smoove said. "These are guys who conduct business the right way and grow their brand. It's all about coming together and doing a great project."

Cavs, Warriors impressive thus far ... finals rematch?

The Uncle Drew commercials are popular, and Irving wants to see the relationship continue.

"When you're a kid and seeing these spots being done, you want to be a part of it," Irving said. "It's something I enjoy and want to continue to do moving forward for a long time.

"It is definitely fun. You have to have the right kind of people doing it because you have to get outside the limitations of yourself and you have to be uncomfortable at times. When people get uncomfortable on cameras, that’s sometimes when the best moments come out."
