Rob Kardashian was hospitalized on Tuesday, according to reports from TMZ and E! News.

TMZ claims the 28-year-old was diagnosed with diabetes while E! calls it simply "a health scare" and says Kardashian is now back at home.

The reality star has shied away from his famous family and avoided cameras for the past several years as he suffered from depression and began to gain weight.

His problems mounted when, per Gossip Cop, during a March 2014 episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Rob was told by doctors that his liver was failing and warned he was on the path to diabetes and organ failure.

In an episode that aired this May, mom Kris Jenner revealed that Rob had gained 100 pounds. "I cry myself to sleep literally every night worrying about (him)," she said.

Rob has been largely absent from recent Kardashian events, including his sister Kim's much-publicized wedding to Kanye West and Kris' lavish Christmas Eve party several days ago.

Khloe Kardashian, who has openly worried about her brother on KUWTK, posted an old photo of Rob after her mom's Christmas party, writing, "If only you could see yourself through my eyes! I'll forever be obsessed with you! My one and only!" Kris shared the photo.

She told People in October, "He's such a great guy. That's also what's so infuriating. He's charming, charismatic, everything. But I'm like, where is your will to live? Where is your will to live life? Let's be around people!"

Rob posted a seemingly slimmed-down selfie this past September, but has not updated his Instagram account in nearly two months. His most recent posts include birthday wishes for his mother and prayers for Lamar Odom, who was hospitalized 10 weeks ago.
