CLEVELAND -- A 41-year-old man is dead following a late-night crash in which the vehicle went off an overpass Monday.
Authorities say it happened around 11:50 p.m. when the driver of a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze "failed to negotiate the curve in the roadway" and struck a curb.
The vehicle then went airborne along the bridge, through a fence and crashed down 30 feet landing on its roof in the grass median that separates I-490 West from the I-77 ramps.
The vehicle rolled and came to rest on the right shoulder and right lane of I-490 West, according to police.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the victim as Larico Nettles of Cleveland.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
