CLEVELAND -- Whether it be in his columns or his podcasts, Bill Simmons has made it clear that he's not a fan of the 2017-18 Cleveland Cavaliers. But on Wednesday, The Ringer CEO and NBA fanatic's untimely criticism came back to bite him.

As the Cavs fell behind by 15 points to the Toronto Raptors in a nationally televised matchup between the two Eastern Conference contenders, Simmons took to Twitter to chime in on the team's struggles. Referring to them as "this goofy Cleveland team," the former ESPN columnist predicted "any team with good guards is going to destroy" the Cavs before proclaiming that they had "no on/off switch."

Mere moments after Simmons' tweet, the Cavs seemingly proved him wrong, flipping their "on-switch" to the tune of a 15-point comeback and 132-129 victory over the first-place Raptors.

Never mind that Cleveland was down five rotation players on Wednesday or that Kevin Love is still be integrated into the lineup after missing more than a month's worth of action. Sure, the Cavs have had their shortcomings this season -- particularly on the defensive end of the floor -- but maybe wait until they're at least at full strength -- or a game is actually over -- to write them off?

Regardless, This Goofy Cleveland Team won on Wednesday and will only get healthier as the playoffs approach. No follow up tweet yet from Simmons, whose favorite team, the Boston Celtics, now find themselves dealing with injury issues of their own.
