CLEVELAND -- Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue will rejoin the team in Cleveland Friday night, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

Wojnarowski says Lue will only join the team as an "observer" and will not coach Friday. He's expected to "ease his way back" to his coaching role during the Cavaliers' four-game homestand.

Lue stepped away from his coaching duties March 19, citing a need to focus on his health. Lue told reporters he had been suffering from chest pains and a lack of sleep throughout the season.

"Despite a battery of tests, there have been no conclusions as to what the exact issue is," he said.

Assistant coach Larry Drew has served as acting head coach during Lue's absence.

The Cavaliers begin their four-game homestand with the New Orleans Pelicans Friday night.
