Kinsman Road reopens after biohazard waste cleanup

Avoid the area.

CLEVELAND -- Cleveland fire crews were called to Kinsman Road between E. 116th and E. 120th streets for a report of biohazard waste.

A spokesman for the Cleveland Fire Department says four to five bags of biohazard waste were found Wednesday morning. Contents from the bags littered the street.

Fire crews determined the waste was beyond the scope of their resources to clean with brooms and shovels, so outside help will be called to the scene.

The Cleveland Fire Department expects clean-up to take several hours. That portion of Kinsman Road was closed during clean-up.

Residents in the area were notified of the incident.
