It appears that the man known as "Dr. Smooth" will be taking his practice to the Lone Star State.

Yahoo's Jeff Passan and Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic and Fox Sports are both reporting that free agent Cleveland Indians outfielder Michael Brantley has agreed to a two-year, $32 million dollar deal with the Houston Astros.

The 31-year-old Brantley was an All-Star for the third time in 2018, compiling a.309 batting average, a .364 on-base percentage, and .468 slugging percentage. He hit 17 home runs and 76 RBIs in helping the Tribe to their third straight American League Central Division crown.

Brantley hit .295 over the span of his ten years in Cleveland after being the player to be named later in the 2008 C.C. Sabathia trade to Milwaukee. His sweet swing and steady performance at the plate earned him the nickname of "Dr. Smooth." Shoulder and ankle injuries limited Brantley to just 11 games in 2016 and 90 in 2017.

Passan wrote on Twitter that the plan for Houston is to rotate Brantley at DH, 1B, and left field.
