NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. — Cleveland's own star chef Michael Symon stopped by the "Today" show Thursday morning to whip up some fried chicken and meatballs with Carson Daly.

But before he showed off the cooking skills that have made him famous, he took a moment to celebrate the Cleveland Browns, who have made headlines for all the right reasons this week.

"Oh my God, did you hear that we got OBJ? I don't know if anybody knows this, but we got OBJ," Symon joked when Daly asked if he wanted to talk about Cleveland.

The Browns boosted their offense this week with the acquisition of wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr.

"We got Baker, I'm happy we got OBJ," Symon said. "We are moving in the right direction. I am a long-time suffering Cleveland Browns sports fan so I'm very excited about this."

Symon also showed off his granddaughter, Emerson, who was born in December.
