As they're in the midst of one of the biggest offseasons in franchise history, we'll soon know when we'll get our first official look at the revamped Cleveland Browns.
On Tuesday, the NFL announced that it will unveil its full schedule on Wednesday, April 17, doing so with a two-hour special scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.
"NFL Network's coverage will be highlighted by 2019 NFL Schedule Release, Presented by Verizon on Wednesday, April 17 at 8:00 PM ET, a two-hour special hosted by Colleen Wolfe and featuring analysts Steve Mariucci and Maurice Jones-Drew in studio," a press release reads. "The special will break down the entire 2019 NFL regular season schedule, division by division, analyzing the top matchups and primetime games, including the Thursday Night Football schedule across FOX and NFL Network."
In addition to their in-studio hosts, the NFL Network will have reporters live on scene with players across the country -- including Browns tight end David Njoku, who will be at the Barley House on W. 6th St. The Browns figure to factor prominently into this year's NFL schedule, with Cleveland expected to participate in multiple primetime games following its offseason acquisition of star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
One of such games could come as early as the season opener, with Beckham hinting on social media last week that the Browns would face the New York Jets in Week 1 of their 2019 campaign. After Jets safety Jamal Adams posted on Instagram, Beckham replied, 'See you Week 1,' before later tweeting that he had, in fact, received a sneak peek at the upcoming schedule.
Although Beckham said nothing about Monday Night Football, a primetime meeting between the Browns and Jets would make sense. After all, this year will mark the 50th anniversary of Monday Night Football -- the first game of which featured both the Browns and Jets.
Will the 50th anniversary include the same two teams? We'll find out in less than a day.
