Re-watch WKYC's 1st round NFL draft special

The stage is being prepared for the 2019 NFL Draft in Nashville, Tennessee. The 2019 NFL Draft will be in Nashville from Thursday, April 25 through Saturday, April 27.

CLEVELAND — The 2019 NFL Draft gets underway on Thursday night in Nashville, Tennessee, and here is everything you will need to know about WKYC’s coverage of the National Football League’s annual selection meeting.

NFL Draft specials

For the third consecutive year, WKYC.com will host a digital draft night special with live reaction to the picks and trades that happen during the first round, as well as analysis of the selections by guest commentators and Browns reporters.

WKYC.com writers Ben Axelrod and Bud Shaw anchored the coverage from Browns headquarters in Berea on Thursday night, while Dave “Dino” DeNatale and Shaw will lead the Friday broadcast.

WKYC Sports anchor Jim Donovan, “The Voice of the Browns,” and WKYC sports reporter Nick Camino will be among the featured guests on the draft special.

This year, the WKYC.com digital draft special will be a two-night broadcast, as the commentators will guide fans through the second and third-round selections from Berea on Friday night.

Thursday’s broadcast starts at 7:30 p.m. and Friday’s will go live at 7 p.m.

The draft night special will stream live on WKYC.com and the WKYC Facebook page.

Browns Picks

Currently, the Browns hold eight selections, starting with the No. 49 overall pick, the 17th choice in the second round.

In addition to holding their own selections in the second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth rounds, the Browns have two more fifth-round choices courtesy of trades with the Jacksonville Jaguars for running back Carlos Hyde and New England Patriots for wide receiver Josh Gordon, respectively.

The Browns sent their first-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft to the New York Giants as part of a package to obtain the services of wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. in a deal that was made official on the first day of the new league year.
