Shake Shack opens new downtown Cleveland restaurant: Take a first look inside

We’ll take a burger with extra ShackSauce, please.

CLEVELAND — The day has finally arrived!

Downtown Cleveland officially has its own Shake Shack at 601 Euclid Ave.

“This location came together pretty quickly,” the restaurant’s general manager said. “We were looking at a couple of other locations downtown, but we were super psyched when we found this place.”

If you’ve never been to a Shake Shack before, the chain is all about its burgers, crinkle fries and milkshakes.

"Crinkle-cut fries, I think that’s been our hidden gem. People love our fries. We heard them loud and clear. We tried to change them once, and they were like, ‘No, no, no. Bring back the crinkle-cut fries. We love those.’”

Oh, and we can't forget that iconic ShackSauce.

Not hungry for a burger? Shake Shack also serves up hot dogs with a Cleveland twist by including Bertman ballpark mustard at all of its Northeast Ohio locations.

“Ballpark mustard is huge, and I think it’s giving us some honest Cleveland street cred, which is huge."

The new downtown Cleveland eatery, which officially opened Thursday, marks the third Shake Shack location within Northeast Ohio. The first opened last June at the Pinecrest development in Orange Village, while the other debuted earlier this year at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.
