AKRON, Ohio — Police are searching for the man who allegedly slammed a stolen bulldozer into an Akron home.

It was around 4 p.m. Friday when officers responded to the scene in the 700 block of Inman Street and found damage to an enclosed porch, a parked vehicle and a fence.

“The residents on Inman Street reported hearing the front of the house being hit by an unknown vehicle,” police said in a press release Monday.

When a man looked outside, he told police the bulldozer was coming toward the house and struck it a second time.

The suspect, who police say was in his underwear, fled the scene on the bulldozer, which was later found at the intersection of East Crosier and Lafollette. Police say the bulldozer, which is property of Lockhart Concrete, had been stolen from a construction site at Chittenden and Bittaker.
