AKRON, Ohio — Akron Police are searching for the three suspects who robbed an Acme Fresh Market on Friday, then unleashed dogs on an employee.
According to police reports, the suspects entered the market on East Avenue on Friday around 12:40 p.m. Two of the three suspects filled up a grocery cart full of food and left without paying.
A store employee went into the parking lot to ask for a receipt, when one of the suspects opened the vehicle door and released her two dogs.
The employee was bit several times and he was transported to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center with serious injuries. The dogs got back into the vehicle and all three suspects fled the scene.
The vehicle was described as a red minivan.
The three suspects are described as a younger white female with dark hair, a teenage black male, and an older white female. The older white female was the one who released the dogs.
