AKRON, Ohio — Authorities are investigating after a man was shot and killed in a living room Thursday night.
According to the Summit County Medical Examiner, the shooting occurred around 8:35 p.m. in the 800 block of Fifth Avenue. When officers arrived, they found a 59-year-old man with a gunshot wound in the living room.
The victim, identified as Michael Anderson, later died at Akron City Hospital.
The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office said the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the torso.
Police have not provided information on any potential suspects or motive.
