CLEVELAND — When the Cleveland Browns take the field for their Week 10 matchup vs. the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, they'll do so without their No. 3 wide receiver.

Less than two hours before kickoff, the Browns announced that Antonio Callaway will be inactive for the contest. Callaway was not previously listed on the team's injury report and is believed to be a healthy scratch.

Tight end Ricky Seals-Jones, defensive end Olivier Vernon, safety Eric Murray, offensive lineman Kendall Lamm, wide receiver Taywan Taylor and cornerback Robert Jackson will also be inactive for the Browns.

Selected with a third round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, Callaway showed flashes of being a dynamic playmaker during his rookie season in Cleveland, catching 43 passes for 586 yards and 5 touchdowns. His sophomore, season, however, got off to a rough start as he was suspended for the first four games of the year due to a violation of the NFL's substance abuse policy.

Upon returning, the Florida product hardly served as a difference-maker -- at least in a positive fashion -- for the Browns, who at 2-6 on the season have been one of the NFL's most disappointing teams. In 4 games, the 22-year-old Callaway has caught 8 passes for 89 yards and no touchdowns. He also dropped a would-be score in the Browns' Week 5 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on a pass that was ultimately intercepted by defensive back K'Waun Williams.

With Callaway inactive, there stands reason to believe that Rashard Higgins will have an increased role in the Browns passing game on Sunday. Running back Kareem Hunt, who will be making his Cleveland debut after serving an 8-game suspension of his own, is also a viable pass-catcher.
