Lake Effect Snow Warning: How much snow you can expect

A Lake Effect Snow Warning for Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, and Ashtabula counties is currently in effect.

CLEVELAND — The lake effect snow machine is still cranking out snowflakes, bringing more accumulating conditions to the region.

It comes after a system snow brought a couple of inches in spots of Northeast Ohio late Wednesday and into Thursday.

As a result of the continuing snowfall, the National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a series of winter alerts throughout the 3News viewing area as listed below...

LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING

This is in effect from 10 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26 until 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 29 for the following counties:

  • Ashtabula
  • Cuyahoga
  • Geauga
  • Lake

Several inches of snow could accumulate wherever the lake effect bands persist.

ODOT has crews working 12-16 hour shifts until the wintry weather subsides and roads are fully passable.
