Troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol seized hundreds of pounds of marijuana products during a traffic stop last week in Madison County.

On June 15, a California man driving a 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe was stopped by troopers on Interstate 70 for a marked lanes violation, according to OSHP.

Criminal indicators were observed and a Patrol drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle.

OSHP says after a probable cause search of the vehicle, troopers seized 592 pounds of THC-infused products of marijuana worth approximately $2.5 million.

The driver, 28-year-old Frank Tatick, of Los Angeles, was charged with possession of drugs, a second-degree felony.

If convicted, he could face up to eight years in prison.
