Cleveland Browns activate RB Nick Chubb from injured reserve

Chubb has been out since the Browns' Week 4 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys

BEREA, Ohio — EDITOR'S NOTE: The above video is from the radio broadcast of the Browns' Week 4 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cleveland Browns have activated running back Nick Chubb from injured reserve in time for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans at FirstEnergy Stadium.

After a few weeks of rough injuries for the Cleveland Browns, there was some good news Monday as the team announced it is bringing running back Nick Chubb off the injured reserve list. The news was made official with a press release announcing his activation, Saturday afternoon.

Chubb suffered an MCL injury during the Browns' Week 4 matchup with the Dallas Cowboys, and has missed the team's last four games. Chubb was able to avoid surgery.

This is a continuation of good news for the team as quarterback, Baker Mayfield, was removed from the team's COVID-19 list Wednesday after coming in contact with a staff member who tested positive for the disease.

The team has reached the midway point of the season with a winning record for just the third time since 1999. They are trying to end an 18-year playoff drought.

The 5-3 Browns will take on the Texans Sunday with kick-off scheduled for 1 p.m.
