CLEVELAND — Happy holidays!

On Saturday night, WKYC Studios kicked off the 2021 Christmas season with our TV special -- "Holidays in the CLE." The special, which was streamed on our Facebook and Youtube pages, aired at 7:30 p.m. and starred 3News' own Jasmine Monroe and Majic 105.7's Mark Nolan.

The Downtown Cleveland Alliance happily partnered with us at WKYC to present the special for our Northeast Ohio audiences, featuring performances in some of the city’s most iconic locations.

“Holidays in the CLE” features the following highlights:

  • A cappella group Case in Point shares their version of “Weight in Gold” under the chandelier at Playhouse Square.
  • The Cleveland Ballet showcases the "Snow Pas de Deux" at the Cleveland Museum of Art.
  • The Cleveland Cavaliers PowerHouse dance team dances to Trans-Siberian Orchestra at Tower City Center.
  • Karamu House has a medley of holiday songs as the lights in Public Square brighten up the holidays.
  • A visit to the Cleveland History Center to remember holidays past. 3News’ Leon Bibb also explores why downtown Cleveland should always be a part of your holiday season.
  • An appearance from Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson, Mayor-Elect Justin Bibb and Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish.
  • There’s also a special visit from Santa Claus.
