Minutes prior to the incident, Ring doorbell camera video from neighborhood resident Scott Petty showed a gray sedan speeding along Cedar with police sirens briefly heard in the background (watch below beginning at the 27-second mark). A crash is then heard, followed by first responders rushing to the area.

Johnson was transported to the Solon jail following his arrest. He appeared in front of a Shaker Heights Municipal Court on Wednesday and chose to waive a preliminary hearing. Further proceedings in his case will now be handed over to the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Grand Jury.

Johnson's bond was set at $200,000.

Police say that following a search warrant, one of the vehicles involved in the crash, a 2017 Dodge Charger, was found to have been stolen on May 25, from Classic Hyundai in Mentor.
