Need a belated Valentine's Day gift for the pet lover in your life?

Cuddle Clones, a company based out of Louisville, Ky., makes custom stuffed animals based on up to 10 photographs submitted by pet owners.

The company makes 12-to 17-inch plush toys depicting a wide array of pets — from dogs and cats to guinea pigs and fish.

"A lot of people ask about geckos, but no one's ordered one yet," founder Jennifer Williams told USA TODAY Network.

Customers often order stuffed animal "clones" in order to remember a pet that has died. However, some order while their pet is still around, Williams said.

"We like those pictures the best, you know, when they're next to their real counterpart," Williams said about photos customers send back after receiving the product.

Depictions of larger animals cost $199 each while stuffed animals of smaller pets fetch $129. Customers can also order 4-inch tall sandstone figurines, which cost $99.

The products are made in the Cuddle Clones workshop in China. The company, which launched in April 2013, hired their own designers and sourced their own materials, Williams said.

Shoppers take note: There's a four-month turnaround time for the plush clones and a four-week one for figurines.
