ESPN reporter Britt McHenry apologized on Twitter after a video, which appears to show her berating a parking lot clerk, went viral.
"In an intense and stressful moment, I allowed my emotions to get the best of me and said some insulting and regrettable things. As frustrated as I was, I should always choose to be respectful and take the high road. I am so sorry for my actions and will learn from this mistake," McHenry tweeted.
In the video, which appears to be edited, McHenry threatens to sue and targets the clerk's education and physical features.
ESPN has suspended McHenry for one week, according to a tweet from Josh Krulewitz, ESPN vice president, communications.
