28-year-old man killed in motorcycle crash in Parma

The incident occurred at 1 a.m.

PARMA, Ohio — A 28-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash that occurred in Parma in the early hours of Monday morning.

According to police, the incident occurred at approximately 1 a.m. when a man riding a 2008 Honda Shadow was traveling northbound on State Rd. The man was ejected from his motorcycle after striking a utility pole at 6685 State Rd.

The motorcycle caught fire, which was extinguished by arriving officers. They also attempted life-saving measures on the man, who was then transported by the Parma Fire Department to Metro Hospital in Cleveland, where he was later pronounced dead.

The victim has since been identified as William Wolosyn of Parma.

Nobody else was involved in the accident, with police suspecting that speed and alcohol may have been contributing factors.

An investigation remains ongoing.
