Watch: Baker Mayfield scores on 7-yard touchdown run vs. Bengals

Baker Mayfield gave the Cleveland Browns a 14-13 second quarter lead with a 7-yard touchdown run vs. the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.

CLEVELAND — Facing a 3rd-and-goal at the Cincinnati Bengals' 7-yard line with 6:37 remaining in the second quarter, Baker Mayfield dropped back, only to find all of his wide receivers covered.

So the Cleveland Browns quarterback took matters into his own hands.

Taking off toward the end zone, Mayfield evaded Bengals linebacker Nick Vigil before diving past the pylon for his third rushing touchdown of the season. Following an Austin Seibert extra point, Mayfield's touchdown scamper gave the Browns a 14-13 lead, helping erase a six-point deficit caused in large part by a pair of first-quarter interceptions thrown against Cincinnati on Sunday.

Mayfield's touchdown couldn't have come at a better time for the Browns, who entered Sunday laying claim to a 5-7 record and with their playoff hopes on life support. Cincinnati, meanwhile, currently possesses an NFL-worst 1-11 record after winning its first game of the season vs. the New York Jets last week.
