Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson's disciplinary hearing to begin on Tuesday

According to NFL Insider Adam Schefter, Watson will attend a hearing in front of the NFL and NFLPA's jointly appointed disciplinary officer on Tuesday.

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns, Deshaun Watson and the NFL have moved one step closer to a decision on disciplinary action for the 2022 regular season.

According to NFL Insider Adam Schefter, Watson will attend a hearing in front of the NFL and NFLPA's jointly appointed disciplinary officer Sue L. Robinson on Tuesday.

Will we know his fate for the 2022 season after this hearing on Tuesday? No additional information has been provided by the NFL, NFLPA or the Browns as far as how long the hearing will last or if there will be a decision on a suspension coming out of the hearing.

There stands a likelihood of a decision being made soon however. Earlier this week, Watson and his legal team settled with 20 of 24 accusers in the sexual misconduct civil cases that were pending against the QB according to the lawyer for the accusers Tony Buzbee.

Involuntary and voluntary minicamp are in the rear view mirror and with training camp official starting in just over a month (July 27), time is quickly running out on a suspension decision if the league wants to have the decision in before training camp.

In the event of a suspension handed down by Sue Robinson, the NFLPA and Watson have the right to an appeal of that decision and the punishment handed down.

That appeal would be decided on by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.
